IN SHORT: Deleriously funny. [Rated G. 85 minutes]

The second stop motion animated feature to fill seats this season's theaters also stars Helena Bonham Carter, which we mention so that when she has hits with toons three and four and so forth, we can claim credit for pointing out the pattern <g>. The lady knows how to choose her 'toons.

For those that don't know the cartoon, don't worry about it. All we knew of Wallace & Gromit is that the former (voiced by Ralph Fiennes) has a thing for cheese and the latter is a dog of high intelligence. You'll pick up all that, though cheese has little to do with this story, fairly quickly. For the purposes of this story, our heroes run the Anti-Pesto "humane" pest removal service, which offers professional removal of pests -- in this case l'il bunny rabbits that have been ravaging the vegetable patches of an unnamed English country town -- without the untidiess of extermination.

This flick adds a monstrous night creature to the mix and . . . heck, it was just too darn much fun to do anything but stuff popcorn and soda down the gullet and giggle til it hurt. Just buy the ticket and plant.

On average, a first run movie ticket will run you Ten Bucks. Were Cranky able to set his own price to Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, he would have paid . . .

Take kids if you got 'em and then buy a DVD when it hits the stores. If you don't have kids, go anyways. No "enhancement" of any kind is needed to enjoy this delightful flick. You know what Cranky means.
